About the Artist
Jeremy Paul Jelinek is a performer, improviser, composer, scholar, and choral conductor with a considerable number of awards, prizes, and distinctions to his name. Jeremy is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, having studied with David Higgs, Nathan Laube, Edoardo Bellotti and William Porter. He is a former student of both l’École du Chœur Grégorien de Paris and le Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where his teachers included Olivier Latry, Michel Bouvard, Thierry Escaich, and Laszlo Fassang. While in France, he performed at la Chappelle Royale de Versailles, l’Abbaye de St-Ouen (Rouen), l’Abbaye de Royaumont, and la Cathédrale de Notre Dame de Paris. Jeremy took first prize in the RCYO competition and subsequently performed in two recitals for the 2016 National American Guild of Organists Convention (Houston, TX). He is currently a graduate student of Paul Jacobs at the Juilliard School.
Jeremy finds purpose and inspiration through Sacred Music, and he commits all efforts to his goal of transforming others through this profound music. His most recent posts have included the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Holy Trinity, and St. Dominic Church (Washington, DC); from 2020-2021 Jeremy upheld a role as Interim Choirmaster and Organist at Church of the Epiphany on the Upper East Side. Jeremy is currently Associate Music Director and Organist of The Oratory Church of St. Boniface.
